Archie Joseph Yelle (June 11, 1892 - May 2, 1983) was a right-handed baseball
catcher who played three seasons in theAmerican League for theDetroit Tigers (1917-1919) and seven years in thePacific Coast League for the San Francisco Seals. Born inSaginaw, Michigan , Yelle was a weak-hitting catcher who hit .161 in 87 games for the Tigers.After being released by the Tigers, Yelled played for the San Francisco Seals in the
Pacific Coast League from 1920-1926. In 1922, Yelle helped lead the Seals to a league championship with a record of 127-72. Yelle split catching duties with another former major league player,Sam Agnew . In 1922, Yelle batted .254 in 108 games.
