- Nai-Rong Qian
Nai-rong Qian(zh:钱乃荣, IPA| [zɪ] [nᴇ] [joŋ] ) was born in 1938 in
Suzhou ,Jiang-su Province , China. He moved to MetropolitanShanghai area in 1945 and was educated there, until he received the Master's Degree in Chinese Literature fromFudan University in 1981.Currently Qian is a Professor of
Chinese Language and Literature inShanghai University and the Head of the department.He is regarded as the most senior master of research in
Shanghainese andWu-ngu dialect inthe People's Republic of China .Publications
Mostly research topics regarding Shanghai and Wu-ngu dialect.
