Ben H. Guill

Ben Hugh Guill (September 8, 1909 - January 15, 1994) was a U.S. Representative from Texas.

Born in Smyrna, Tennessee, Guill graduated from West Texas State College, Canyon, Texas, 1933.He was a teacher. Business executive.He was in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945. Real estate agent.

Guill was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-first Congress by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Eugene Worley, (May 6, 1950-January 3, 1951).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Eighty-second Congress in 1950.He served as delegate to Republican National Convention, 1952. Executive assistant to the United States Postmaster General, Washington, D.C. from 1953 to 1955.He served as member of the Federal Maritime Board, United States Department of Commerce from 1955 to 1959. Professional advocate.He died on January 15, 1994, in Pampa, Texas.He was interred in Fairview Cemetery, Pampa, Texas.
