"The Weekender" is an arts entertainment weekly for Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and surrounding communities in northeastern PA. It is distributed every Wednesday.

The Weekender started as an independent entertainment weekly in 1991. It was purchased by The Times Leader in 1993. Since then, the Weekender claims to have grown to be Northeastern Pennsylvania’s #1 Arts & Entertainment Weekly. Circulation numbers are reported at over 40,000 papers distributed to over 1,000 locations weekly and covering 5 counties while boasting over 174,415 readers.
