The Red Bull RB1 was aFormula One car designed byRed Bull Racing for the 2005 season. The two cars were driven by ScotDavid Coulthard , withAustria nChristian Klien and Italian Tonio Liuzzi. Liuzzi raced in four of the rounds, with Klien racing in the other 15 rounds. This was a controversial decision made, again bringing up the 'driver nationallity' scenario. The team had two test drivers, who were AmericanScott Speed and the Swiss driverNeel Jani . The engine was aCosworth TJ2005 3.0 V10. The team's main sponsor wasRed Bull . The RB1 was the first car built by Red Bull Racing after the energy drinks manufacturer bought theJaguar Racing team in 2004. The RB1's best result was a fourth place finish at the Australian Grand Prix inMelbourne and the European Grand Prix held at the Nurburgring. Both results were achieved by David Coulthard. Christian Klien's best finish was fifth at the season finale in Shanghai. Tonio Liuzzi's best finish in the RB1 was eighth in his debut race, the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola. The Red Bull RB1's first race was the 2005 Australian Grand Prix, while its final race was at the 2005 Chinese Grand Prix.Complete Formula One results
