Sid Borgia (died 1999) was a
professional basketball referee in theNational Basketball Association (NBA) from 1946 to 1964 and later was the league's supervisor of officials from 1964 to 1966.Borgia was considered one of the best referees of his era along with

Hawks team ownerBen Kerner demanded that Borgia be fired and Borgia never officiated another NBA game.Sid Borgia was married for 54 years and had 5 children, 2 of which also became NBA referees.
