"Tugali suteri sutherlandi" is a subspecies of small sea snail or limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the Family Fissurellidae, the keyhole and slit limpets.

Distribution

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand. It is found in the Fiordland area of the South Island.

Habitat

This limpet lives at depths of about 40 m.

hell description

The shell is of more regularly ovate outline than "Tugali suteri suteri", the radial ribs alternate in strength, and the concentric riblets are much weaker, causing slight beading of the radials, but not strongly enough to fenestrate the interspaces.

The shell coloration is light brown externally and white within.

The maximum shell height is 6 mm, width 11 mm, and length 16 mm.
