"ST Action" was a video game magazine in the UK covering gaming with the Atari ST during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Published by Gollner Publishing Ltd. and launched in April 1988, it assimilated The One with issue 49 in May 1992. The original team included Hugh Gollner (Publisher), Nick Clarkson (Editor), Steve Merrett, Jason Spiller and Martin Moth (Writers), Greg "beware of passengerless taxis" Percvial (Design). ST Action also proved a useful training ground for other gaming journalists including Doug Johns and Steve White.

On a more technical note, ST Action was the first video game magazine in the world that electronically captured its images allowing the reviewers to paste together screenshots accurately. The process was pioneered by Ian Tindale using Mac-based technology. It was a huge success and gave the publisher huge time and cost savings.

Like many similar magazines, it contained sections of news, game reviews, previews, tips, help guides, columnists, readers' letters, and cover-mounted disks of game demos.

Gollner merged with Cheshire-based publisher, Europress in 1990. The two publishers formed a new company, Europress Interactive, that was responsible for publishing a range of video game magazines including ST Action, Amiga Action, SNES Action, Mega Action, GameBoy Action and the weekly Games-X. "ST Action" eventually closed before Europress Interactive became part of IDG Media Group. Hugh Gollner went on to launch Maverick Magazines, originally based in Macclesfield, Cheshire (UK) before relocating to Oxford (1993) before disbanding in 1995.
