Jimmy Lynam

Jimmy Lynam

Jimmy Lynam was an Irish sportsperson who played hurling with the Cork senior inter-county team in the 1950s.

Lynam first came to prominence as a member of the Cork senior hurling panel in the early 1950s. He came on as a substitute to win his first All-Ireland medal in the 1952 final when Cork defeated Dublin. Cork continued their winning ways in 1953 with Lynam adding a National Hurling League medal to his collection. He later collected his first Munster title but was only a substitute when Cork defeated Galway to win a second All-Ireland title in-a-row.
