Alexandre Lomaia

Alexander "Kakha" Lomaia ( _ka. კახა ლომაია) is a Georgian politician and Secretary of the Georgian Security Council. Lomaia served as a Minister of Education and Science of Georgia until the new Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze replaced him with Maia Miminoshvili, former Head of National Assessment and Examination Centre. He is a former Executive Director of the Open Society Georgia Foundation (Soros Foundation,) overseeing a staff of 50 and a budget of $2,500,000.
