derran gene brownson, named after his fathers friends derren nesbit the actor and his godfather the late gene pitney was born in gloucester in 1970 on november the 10th,brought up in the forest of dean and north devon,formed youngblood with his brother lee and his schoolfriends,then various bands with future members of emf.put emf together at his surf/skate shop in cinderford,when ian dench needed a break from his band apple mosaic,brownson became the instigator for the seed that became one of the most popular bands of the early 90s,with a top ten record across the world and a number 1 in the us billboard charts,emf were everywhere,now brownson resides in north devon as a semi recluse,but emf are still active this year after nearly 8 years without a sound,brownson is currently writing material with emf,as well as is own solo recordings under the names of kiddblak and dg brownson,his band history is thus,youngbloodking called the culpritvarious projects with future emf frontman james atkinlacs (light aircraft company)jullian buffins main mendominatorsemflk (drums)parkpinky mclures banddgbrownson and the ring of fire bandkiddblak dg brownson (solo)yard one project
