Alan Martin (born January 1 1989, in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing as a goalkeeper for League One side, Leeds United where he is on loan to Barrow.

Martin started off his careers in the youth ranks at Motherwell and in 2006 was moved to the first team, despite being the 3rd choice goalkeeper. In June 2007, Motherwell manager, Maurice Malpas revealed he expected Martin to move to Rangers [cite web |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/motherwell/6711319.stm | title=Young 'Well keeper set for Ibrox |publisher=BBC Sport | date=1st June 2007| accessdate=2007-08-31] , however he returned to Motherwell for pre-season training.

In August 2007, Martin was handed a trial with West Yorkshire team, Leeds United. He impressed enough and on the 31 August 2007, he was handed an initial two year deal with the club with Leeds paying Motherwell an undisclosed compensation fee [cite web |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/6972246.stm | title=Leeds recruit Martin & Huntington |publisher=BBC Sport | date=31st August 2007| accessdate=2007-08-31] . With his move sealed, it now provided competition for Leeds' other goalkeeper Casper Ankergren. He has gone on loan to Blue Square Premier club Barrow for 1 month on 23rd september
