Calvados , the French department in which Deauville Racecourse is located.Initially the race was run over a distance of 1,300 metres, which was increased to the present length in 1977. Also at this time the race was promoted to Group 3 status. It is presently the first Group race of the year in France which is exclusively reserved for two-year-old fillies.
The 2002 winner, Six Perfections, went on to win the following year's
Breeders' Cup Mile .Records
