website = http://www.finborough.suffolk.sch.uk/Finborough School is a small independent school of around 250 pupils, owned by John and Sue Sinclair. The site is set on and around Finborough Hall, which was formerly a mansion. There are three school houses: Churchill (white house), Marlborough (red house) and Nelson (blue house) named after Winston Churchill, the 1st Duke Of Marlborough and Horatio Nelson respectively.
The school has recently expanded considerably, following a merge with the local Hillcroft School.
Achievements
•After a recent ISC inspection, the school was described as "A gem of a school".
•In December 2005, Finborough School was awarded the title of the friendliest school in Suffolk, and the 6th friendliest in the country. This was based on former pupils' acitivities on the Friends Reunited website - the average number of e-mails sent by each former pupil to classmates, and the average number of pupils who sent messages on the Friends Reunited website.
