Central Lafourche High School is located in Mathews, Louisiana on the banks of Bayou Lafourche. The school was opened in 1966, as a result of the consolidating of Raceland & Lockport High Schools. The school currently is a 5A school and has 1,380 students. Apart from a few years, Central Lafourche has always been classified in the LHSAA highest classification. Central Lafourche is also home of the Quad A - Open marching band, the "Trojan Lancers". The band is currently under the direction of Mr. Cory Adams. The Lancers have always put on enjoyable shows that feature lots of theatrical endeavors for fans to watch as they listen to the band play the music for the year's theme. In the '07-'08 year, the lancer band performed a show based on the musical "Wicked" In the 08'-'09 year, they will be performing a show based on the movie "Beowulf".
