Luke Sela (b. ? - June 6, 2007) was a
journalist andnewspaper editor fromPapua New Guinea . He served as editor of the country's Post-Courier newspaper, one of PNG's largest publications and was a champion of the free press in the country.Sela worked as in the Papua

He retired from the paper in2000 . However, he continued to work with the paper after his retirement. Sela was preparing to help coordinate the Post-Courier's coverage of the upcoming 2007 elections in PNG's island regions when he died.Sela, 64, died on June 6, 2007 after being admitted to
Lorengau General Hospital in his home province of Manus. He had been suffering from a long illness for several months.Sela was married to wife, Nia. The couple had two children, Annette and Robert.
