"Straight Checkn 'Em" is the second album by West Coast rap group, Compton's Most Wanted. It was released in 1991 and contained one of the groups most successful songs, "Growin' Up In tha Hood". The first part for the famous "Def Wish" series (I-IV) appeared in Straight Checkn 'Em. Just like their previous album "It's a Compton Thang", this album was entirely produced by DJ Slip and The Unknown DJ. MC Chill missed to appear in this album because he was sentenced to prison some month before the recording.
