Marquis de Vallado

The title Marquis de Vallado is a Spanish title bestowed upon Humphrey Walrond on August 5, 1653 by King Philip IV of Spain.

Humphrey Walrond was a distinguished Royalist commander, and subsequent Governor of Barbados. During the Commonwealth under Oliver Cromwell, and with Barbados seceding from England as part of her overseas territories, Walrond became President of Barbados (1660-1662).

Along with the Marquisate he was also created Conde de Parama and Conde de Valderonda. It was general practise for the eldest son of the encumbent of the title to bear the lesser and courtesy title of Conde de Parama.
