Synopsis
Dil Maange More is the story of Nikhil Mathur’s (Shahid Kapoor) quest for true love. His passion in life is his village Samarpur, and football(soccer). He is desperate to fall in love with one woman but ends up with three women in his arms ready to swear undying love for him.
The film begins with him being in love with Neha (Soha Ali Khan), his girlfriend of four years. Neha, an ambitious girl, leaves their village, Samarpur, to come to Mumbai to become a flight attendant. Nikhil follows her to Mumbai to bring her back. When Nikhil reached Mumbai station he is falls over on Shagun (Ayesha Takia)at the platform where a fight ensues and then both go on their ways but fate has something else for them, as he comes and starts to live above Shagun's house which makes her even more angry. The next day as Nikhil reaches Neha's institute he sees Neha and tries to convince her but he does not succeed. As luck would have it, he lands himself a job in a music store named Planet M which is run by A.R.Rehman (Gulshan Grover) exactly opposite the institute where Neha is training. There he meets Sarah (Tulip Joshi) who also works at Planet M and is friends with her. Meanwhile he keeps trying to convince Neha but there is only rejection for the lover boy. Later he ends up falling in love with Sarah when they go to Samarpur and spend time.
However, fate has something else in store for him and Sarah's ex boy-friend comes and take her away this disheartens Nikhil and goes home but is invited by Shagun's mother and there he reads Shagun's diary on her computer and comes to know that she is actually in love with him. Nikhil proposes to Shagun and she accepts but things turn as Neha comes back and wants him back and hugs him but Shagun sees them and leaves then Nikhil breaks up with Neha. A.R.Rehman then fixes Shagun up with Nikhil at his store but Sarah also comes back saying she left her boyfriend for him and hugs him and again Shagun sees them and goes berserk.
Then one day A.R.Rehman arranges a party at a yacht where all the girls come. There on deck they fight and all three go in the water. Nikhil sees the situation and goes for help but only saves Shagun, as it is told to Shagun. Meanwhile, Nikhil, thinking that he has lost Shagun forever, returns to Samarpur. Shagun finally realizes that Nikhil really loves her and follows him to Samarpur and decide to live there happily ever after. When Shagun is confessing her love, we see Neha, Sarah, and A.R. Rehman saying that their plan is successful.
