John Frost (cricketer)

John Frost (January 30, 1847 — November 1, 1916) was an English cricketer who played for Derbyshire during the 1874 season. Frost was born in Wirksworth and died in Ashover.

Frost represented Derbyshire in one match during the 1874 season, a victory against Kent in which Kent scored just 25 runs in their first innings. Frost was an upper-order batsman.

Frost's brother, George Frost, was also a first-class cricketer for Derbyshire, between 1872 and 1880. In the single match in which John Frost played, his brother George stood alongside him for a 41-run second-wicket partnership.
