In 2006, the varsity football team won the 4A-II state championship with a state record 15-0 season.

In the 2007 girl's volleyball season, head coach Tom Gardner won Regional Coach of the Year in his first season as head coach. They were defeated in the regional finals by Chaparral High School.

History

• In 1974 the first committee met to form a high school.
• In fall of 1982 the doors opened to the first campus located at the 60th Street campus with grades 7-9. (Currently Black Mountain Elementary School.)
• 1986 held the first graduating class.
• In January 1995 the current location opened.
• In the summer of 1999 the second phase of building the campus was complete.
• In 2006 six classrooms were occupied at the former Black Mountain Elementary School now called Cactus Shadows East Campus.
