Peoplecare

Peoplecare

peopleCare’s history began in 1968 when Leroy and Ruth Schlegel started providing long-term care to those in need, at a renovated school house they purchased in Tavistock, Ontario. However the story really began years earlier on a farm near by. Many visitors filled the Schlegel’s home regularly to enjoy the family’s warmth and hospitality. There’s no doubt that service to their fellow man came naturally and this was a fitting apprenticeship of the vocation to which they would dedicate their lives.

Today, peopleCare has developed an outstanding reputation in the long-term health-care field. Three generations have helped shape this family owned organization. The peopleCare philosophy, family continuity and in-depth experience have poured substantial content and reputation into the peopleCare name.
