Hill began her journalism career as a production assistant for "PC Week Radio", the online news program for "PC Week" magazine. She later worked for TechTV (previously ZDTV) as the anchor of its "TechLive" program and its earlier incarnation "TechTV News"/"ZDTV News". Hill is noted for her live reporting of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks when she was working for TechTV. She has previously hosted "Prime News with Erica Hill" on Headline News as part of the network's "Headline Prime" primetime lineup, and also contributed news updates to "AC360°" on CNN and "Glenn Beck" on Headline News.
