Lemuelites

Lemuelites were a subdivision of Lamanites, a people of the ancient Americas referenced in the Book of Mormon. [ [http://scriptures.lds.org/en/jacob/1/13#13 Jacob 1:13] ] Though to save time and prevent confusion those who were sought to destroy Nephi's people were often just called "Lamanites".

Origins

In the journey in the wilderness, there is reference to Lemuel, older brother of Nephi younger brother of Laman, marrying one of the daughters of Ishmael. [ [http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/16/7#7 1^st Nephi 16:7] ] Also in the Wilderness the wives of the Lehi group bare children; [ [http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/17/1-2#1 1^st Nephi 17:1-2] ] [ [http://scriptures.lds.org/en/1_ne/17/20#20 1^st Nephi 17:20] ] therefore we have the beginnings of the Lemuel's family, though not referenced as having been called Lemuelites until the ministry of Jacob.

Also again there is a reference to them being compounded under the name Lamanites and that Lamanites are made up in reality of Lemuelites, Lamanites, Ishmaelites and dissenters from the Nephites.
