The 26th Legislative Assembly of Quebec was the political provincial legislature in
Quebec ,Canada that existed from June 22, 1960 to November 14, 1962. TheQuebec Liberal Party led byJean Lesage was the governing party after over 15 years of governance of the Union Nationale underMaurice Duplessis ,Paul Sauvé andAntonio Barrette . It was the start of theQuiet Revolution era which rapidly reformed the province in several ways including education, health care, public sector and culture. The Legislature lasted only two years as Lesage held the next elections in 1962 as a referendum for the nationalization ofhydroelectricity .eats per political party
