Filippo Abbiati (1640-1715) was an Italian painter of the
Baroque period, active inLombardy andTurin . Born inMilan , he was a pupil of the paintersAntonio Busca , andAlessandro Magnasco was one of his pupils [ULAN entry] . Ticozzi claims he trained, along withFederigo Bianchi , withCarlo Francesco Nuvolone . Along with Bianchi, he painted the cupola of Sant' Alessandro Martire in Milan.
