Tennfjord Mannskor

The Tennfjord Mannskor (Tennfjord men's choir) from Tennfjord in the municipal of Haram, Sunnmøre area, on the north west coast of Norway, was founded August 31st 2004 with 17 persons at the first rehearsal. As of June 2007, the choir has more than 40 active singers.

The choir sings wherever possible; from local pubs, churches and in concert with nationwide famous Norwegian bands, like Vassendgutane and the legendary Total Balalaika Show together with Vatne Hornmusikklag. Extracts of the Total Balalaika Show was run in 3 programs on TV Sunnmøre.

The last big event was on September 8th 2007 together with D.D.E., which led to an invitation from D.D.E. to attend on their concert in Oslo Spektrum on October 27th 2007.The choir can also be heard on D.D.E.s live CD "15 år live" that was released during the Spektrum concert.
The album "15 år live" has sold to more than platinum level in Norway, and the choir received the platinum CD on the "Gylne tider Vol.1: Up where we belong" consert on 1^th of March 2008.

The only lady in the choir is Rigmor Rørhus, the conductor. The choir has its own band.
