Novak is referred to many nicknames in the CKY works, including "Dream Seller" (which is tattooed on his back), for "selling dreams left and right," referring to his reputation for being extremely promiscuous. Brandon has finished working on a book called "
The Dream Seller " which is based on his life and experiences with heroin in Baltimore. The book was co-written withJoseph Frantz . On the December 17, 2007 episode of Radio Bam, it was announced that he had signed a book deal and that it will be released within a year. A movie of the same name was supposed to be in-production in early 2007, but was stopped when Novak began using heroin again. When Novak was 14 he was offered a skating contract by
Tony Hawk , but lost his opportunity due to what he says was a long bout withpsychoactive substance abuse. Novak has admitted to being a formerheroin user and was clean for almost four years from 2003 to 2007. His best-friend Bam Margera recently claimed on "Radio Bam" that Novak relapsed in March 2007 and was seeking treatment in a rehabilitation clinic.
