Josh Gilbert is the bass guitar player and back-up vocalist for the metalcore band As I Lay Dying. He is featured on the band's new album "An Ocean Between Us". Josh uses Fender Jazz basses, and Ibanez EDB550, and 2 Gibson Thunderbirds. He is the youngest member of the band.

On As I Lay Dying's latest album, "An Ocean Between Us", Josh Gilbert sings the clean vocal choruses of the songs "An Ocean Between Us", "Forsaken", "I Never Wanted", "The Sound of Truth", "Wrath Upon Ourselves" and "This Is Who We Are".

Gilbert currently plays in a side project with Lee Turner (ex-Maylene and the Sons of Disaster), entitled Year One.
