- Twist 'n Go
"Twist 'n Go" was made for
Pepsi byIDEO , the company famous for redesigning a shopping cart in five days on an episode of ABC's Nightline. This bottle was intended to replace thewaxed paper cups typically used inconvenience store s or for take-out orders infast food restaurants by solving the issue of decreasing drink sales due to limitations of the commonly used waxed paper cup. Obviously the more durableplastic is better suited for travel than the weaker paper cups but it also allows for reuse. The cup was designed to fit most user's hands and the bottom fits easily into standard cup holders designed for 12oz. cans. The bubble lid is designed to twist off to allow the user easy refills with the wide cup top yet funnel to the cap and allow you to use a straw or drink from the sports-bottle style cap. The straw that is designed to come with the bottle is about a foot long and made of considerably thicker plastic than other straws you will find in convenience stores or a fast food restaurant. The "Twist 'n Go" comes in 32oz. and 44oz. sizes. The bottle on the 32oz. says "32oz. WHEN FILLED TO THREADING" (the threading is about 3/4 inches from the top) yet if you try to fill it with 3 12oz. cans you will find that even to the dead top of the cup you are left with about 3 oz. of soda.
The unique shape of the lid is to make it easily recognizable, conform with the other Pepsi bottles, and to funnel the drink from the wide mouth of the cup down to a smaller size to allow the user to drink with out a straw.
