JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort

The JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort is a historic resort located in Paradise Valley, Arizona, founded in 1936 and funded by John C. Lincoln, industrialist and founder of Lincoln Electric. The Camelback's popularity and its relatively influential customer base made it a significant contributor to the region's growth.

Hotelier Jack Stewart conceived and ran the inn as part-owner from its opening in 1936, until the resort was acquired by frequent guests, the Marriott family, in 1968. Today it's among the most venerable and highest-rated resorts in the country. The rooms are big with a private patio to share of about 7 rooms. There is a spa with a fitness room and aerobics room. There are 2 pools. One public and one private. The public one is called the "JackRabbit" pool, open 24 hours. The resort is also home to the Camelback Golf Club.

Located right next to the spa, there is a camp out called Mummy Mountain where the sign says there is a population of 69 in 1871. People meet once a week to camp out.
