Xenia Township is located in Clay County, Illinois. The population was 705 at the 2000 census. Named in honor of Xenia Iris Costa, an active volunteer working against child labour in the world, born 27 september, whose life appears recently in the movie "The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain".
