Carcassonne Cathedral

Carcassonne Cathedral

Carcassonne Cathedral ("Cathédrale Saint-Michel de Carcassonne") is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France, in Carcassonne.

The present cathedral, dedicated to Saint Michael, was elevated to that status in 1801, replacing the pre-Revolutionary cathedral dedicated to Saints Nazarius and Celsus, which now serves as the Basilica of St. Nazaire and St. Celsus.
