Glympton Park

Glympton Park

Glympton Park is a country estate situated on the B4027 north of Woodstock in the English county of Oxfordshire.

It is owned by the Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia with the approximate value of £90 million. Whilst training as a pilot in 1992, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the nephew to King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and long time Saudi ambassador to the US, bought the estate at its lowered price of £11 million. Prince Bandar is said to have spent £42 million in restoring Glympton House, the former residence of the Wheate Baronets. The mansion has nine bedrooms and is made of Cotswold stone and also has drive way obstacles and bullet-proof glass to stop terrorists.

The estate has convert|2000|acre|km2 covering the whole of the village of Glympton, including its 12th century church, convert|167|acre|km2 of parkland and 21 stone cottages.
