Aleksandr Pavlovich Rodzyanko (
18 August ,1879 —6 May ,1970 ) was a general-lieutenant and a corps commander of the White Army duringRussian Civil War .A nephew of
Mikhail Rodzianko , Aleksandr was educated at thePage Corps and theCadre Noir . In 1912, he was promoted Colonel and went on to take part in theGreat War . After theRussian Revolution of 1917 , he accompaniedPrince Lieven to solicit British help for counterrevolutionaries active inLatvia but was unsuccessful.In 1919,
Nikolay Yudenich appointed Rodzyanko his aide. On23 November 1919 he was sent by Yudenich toEngland to seek financial support. After his mission proved abortive, he chose not to return to Estonia but settled inGermany instead. He wrote memoirs and died inNew York City aged 92.
