Sorel (company)

Founded in 1962, Sorel designs, sources, markets and distributes cold weather footwear for recreational and casual use. The brand is recognized around the world as a respected manufacturer of durable, high quality footwear for the whole family. Sorel is a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear Company, based in Portland, Oregon. Today, Sorel products are distributed through a wide variety of retailers in the United States and 48 countries around the world. Sorel boots were made in Canada before Columbia bought the company. Now they are made in China.
