- Wonder Warthog Racing
Wonder Warthog Racing (WWR) is a unique organization which was formed to better the sport of
motocross . The significance of WWR is that it allows under resourced racers (the "privateers ") to thrive with non-traditional forms of support for their careers.WWR is comprised of two distinct entities: (1) the Team Warthog Foundation, created to conceptualize, fund, and execute meaningful programs aimed directly at supporting the privateer racers; and (2) Wonder Warthog Enterprises (WWE), which focuses on merchandise and entertainment products based on the
Wonder Warthog comic book character. The Team Warthog Foundation has distributed several hundred thousand dollars in resources since its inception and has been run as a completely volunteer effort. WWR has been supported many of the top racers in the sport of motocross including
Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart. FoundersScott Kandel andSteve Bauer won the Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2004, presented by Clear Channel Motorsports.Jon Kandel now runs the day-to-day operations. WWR is regarded by the promoters, governing bodies, riders, and fans as one of the most benevolent and charitable groups to ever help the sport.External links
