Samurai Taisen I

Samurai War, or the legend of the missing general, is an American-made Dōjinshi manga about Hideaki Megumi, a fictional peddler, Tenkai, a priest said to be Mitsuhide Akechi, Kotaro Fuuma, the childhood friend of Hideaki, and Okuni, the future founder of Kabuki. The story takes place in the Sengoku era.

Plot

Hideaki is a 16-year old peddler, returns to Kanegasaki, his home, from Odani. But when he comes home, it's destroyed with no survivors. As he almost goes mad, a priest named Tenkai calms him down. Together, they travel the Warring States to find the killer. On their way there, Kotaro and Okuni join them. Each with their own motives, they promise to help each other only if their motives are on the same road.

Characters

Hideaki- the protagonist, he wields a blade made by Muramasa. He seeks revenge on Benikage (Crimson Shadow) for destroying his home.

Tenkai- a priest who is on Ieyasu's staff, his motives match Hideaki's.

Okuni- a miko, she is on a pilgrimage, but later finds her true calling in dancing.

Kotaro- a ninja, he despises the Toyotomi, Tokugawa, and the ninja called Hanzo

Yukimura- an exiled samurai, he seeks to destroy the Tokugawa

Benikage- the antagonist. Little is known about him, but it's later revealed he's Oda Nobunga, seeking revenge on Mitsuhide.

There are many other characters such as Mitsunari Ishida, Nene, Date Masamune, Kojiro & Musashi, and other Daiymo.
