Eric Gordy

Eric Gordy

Eric Gordy (born 1966) is Senior Lecturer and director of the Centre for Southeast European Studies at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies of University College, London.

Previous to that he was Associate Professor of Sociology at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts from 1997 to 2007. He studied at Swarthmore College (BA, 1988) and at the University of California, Berkeley (Ph.D., 1997). He is the author of "The Culture of Power in Serbia: Nationalism and the Destruction of Alternatives" (Pennsylvania State University Press, 1999). He is also the creator and main contributor to the blog "East Ethnia", which covers Balkan politics and society, among other topics.
