Hugo Yarnold

Hugo Yarnold

Henry Yarnold (July 6, 1917 - August 13, 1974) was an English first class cricketer who became a Test cricket umpire.He was Syd Buller's replacement in the Worcestershire side and served as their wicketkeeper from 1938 until 1955.

In 1949 he effected 110 dismissals and in 1951 he achieved the rare feat of six stumpings in an innings. After retiring he became an umpire and officiated in 3 Test matches, one against Pakistan and twice against Australia.

After umpiring in a game in England between Northamptonshire and Essex he crashed his car into a lorry and died.
