"Stay on These Roads" is the first single from a-ha's album of the same name.
Release and reception
"Stay on These Roads" was released in the spring of 1988 and became the most successful single from the "Stay on These Roads" album, along with "The Living Daylights" on the U.S. rock charts.
The song didn't hit the national charts in the U.S., but it was a significant hit across Europe. It went to #7 in Germany, #3 in France, and #2 in Ireland. In Norway the song gave the band their fourth #1 single. This was a-ha's seventh and final Top 5 showing in the UK to date, reaching #5 there on March 27, 1988.
