David Minor

David Minor is an entrepreneur and professor--he is the Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. David joined TCU in 2000 as the founding Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center. Prior to joining TCU David was the President and CEO of Minor’s Landscape Services, a company he founded in 1980 which became an INC 500 award winning enterprise and one of the largest and most respected in the landscape industry. In 1998 David harvested his business and teamed with ServiceMaster, Inc. to consolidate the industry nationwide. As a Vice President of this newly formed landscape division David helped lead the acquisitions and integration efforts of over 550 million dollars in landscape division revenues. He later sold his company to TrueGreen.

In addition to overseeing all of the activities of the center, David teaches a course to TCU students titled “Managing the Emerging Venture”. He continues to invest in businesses through his company Minor and Associates, Inc. and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars across the country. David serves on the board for Tech Fort Worth, Diamond H Recognition, Inc., and The Landscape Partners Ltd.

David is a former winner of the Tarrant County Entrepreneur of Distinction award, was recognized as the landscape industry's Professional of the Year, and has been named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top ten entrepreneurship center directors in the country.

David continues to share his wisdom in business through mentoring many aspiring entrepreneurs such as Red Sanders and Adam Blake.
