New Community Jewish High School (informally known as "New Jew")[1] is a Jewish high school in West Hills, California. It offers a college preparatory program for students in grades 9-12; 145 academic courses including 58 electives; 5 world languages; 14 Advanced Placement courses in Math, Science, English, History, and Languages; 22 competitive athletic teams; a global Jewish education program featuring exchange programs with high schools in Tel Aviv, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires; experiential education programs featuring overnight grade level trips and an All School 3-night “Shabbaton”; social action and interest clubs including robotics, Israel advocacy, cancer awarenss, Save Darfur, Invisible Children, music appreciation, film, "Future Trillionaires" investment club, American Politics, and many more; musical theatre and drama productions; Science Academy; a comprehensive college guidance program; and school and community leadership opportunities.

The school was founded in 2002 with 40 students, and was located at the West Hills campus of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. It outgrew the available space within two years, and relocated its campus to share space at Shomrei Torah Synagogue, a conservative synagogue. In January 2011, it was reported that the school (now with 400 students) would purchase the West Hills Federation campus where it had begun, with a planned return to that location by 2012 or 2013.[1]
