The 25th Regiment Michigan Volunteer Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

ervice

The 25th Michigan Infantry was mustered into Federal service at Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 22, 1862. After the regiment arrived at Bolivar, Tennessee, in October, Dwight May, a future Lieutenant Governor of Michigan, became the lieutenant colonel.

The regiment was mustered out of service on June 24, 1865.

Total strength and casualties

The regiment suffered 1 officer and 34 enlistedmen who were killed in action or mortally wounded and 2 officers and 141 enlisted men who died of disease, for a total of 178 fatalities.
