- Rhett Camfield
Rhett Camfield, a.k.a. The Rhett Factor a.k.a. The RH Factor, is a drum and bass
DJ and producer. He began his DJ career when he was 15, helping to form a DJ class with some friends when he was in 10th grade. While most of his peers at that time were spinning hip-hop, The RH Factor went beyond that and into therave scene, discovering drum and bass. Around the same time RH FACTOR was sponsored by DRUMZ CLOTHING; an urban, music driven clothing line started by the famous artist and clothing designer SPECTR in 1996. Rhett spends most of his time in the studio, remixing tracks for artist apart of his solo project R|H|F, as well as creating original tracks for both Universal Scientist and Project Live. In 2003, The RH Factor and Motiv8 from the Black Eyed Peas formed the duo The Universal Scientist. Later in 2008 they added a female vocalist/V.J. by the name of Christie Allen a.k.a. Kameilion. Their first album is due out in early 2009 and is highly anticipated, featuring the blending of Motiv8's signature electro-organic sound with an electronic influence fused with RH Factors progressive blending.Aside from Universal Scientist and the R|H|F project, Rhett has started up a group called PROJECT LIVE. A group that specializes in live performance through djing, live key boards, live drumming, and choreographed dancing. Members include Both Rhett and Motiv8 from Universal Scientist (Key boards, Programming) and Kendrick Harmon a.k.a. Kae Boogie (Drummer, Dancer) from the world famous production STOMP OUT LOUD.
To this day The Rhett Factor is still a key element to the Drumz Clothing label and DRUMZ MUSIC GROUP as well as the Spectrumega-Media circle. Branching out of the base of Drumz in Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Rhett has networked and pushed Drumz on the drum and bass community through events and clothing booths, co-produced with DETN8OR.(Rhett's Las Vegas DNB Affiliation) The Drumz and Detn8or network are responsible for landing drum and bass in Las Vegas on the map. Hosting top Drum and bass talents such as: Goldie, John B, Ed Rush & Optical, Diesel Boy, Messinian, Planet of The Drums tour, Andy C, and many more. Other Drumz affiliations in Las Vegas include sponsoring events such as Rinse, Reson8, Konkrete Jungle, and Head-Quarterz.
Rhett's goal is to cultivate the electronic music scene in Las Vegas as well as world-wide. Both with The Universal Scientist and Project Live while at the same time push the underground culture to the mainstream masses. He has been featured in the pages of "Vegas Party Life" magazine (March 2007) and a July issue in the same magazine featuring himself and Motiv8, various Las Weekly publications and and upcoming documentary on Electronic Music in Vegas..
