Spontaneous composition

Spontaneous composition

Spontaneous composition is where the performer, (musician) composes something from the start to finish that has never been played before, it’s like a live on the fly composition. They can be really beautiful and the best thing about them is that no one knows what’s going to happen. Anything can happen in a spontaneous composition, what the musician feels like, that’s what will come out. Keith Jarrett is the king when it comes to spontaneous composition, so if you want to hear what one sounds like then listen to some of his music.
