Scott Frost started his college career at
Stanford University . He attended Stanford for two years before transferring to Nebraska.Frost started for Nebraska in the 1996 and 1997 seasons, going 11-2 and 13-0 respectively. He was the starting
quarterback for the final National Championship team for legendary coachTom Osborne . He was also involved in a much publisized incident involving the Nebraska's star running backLawrence Phillips , in which Kate McEwen, a player on the U of N women's basketball team, and Phillip's girlfriend, had been in Frost's room when Phillips broke in and badly beat McEwen. Frost utlimately intervened and prevented Phillips from doing her even more harm. Phillips was later charged withdomestic abuse .In the 1997 season, during a regular season game against Missouri he threw a pass that was kicked by Shevin Wiggins and caught by Matt Davison for a touchdown, in a play that became known as the
Flea Kicker . The touchdown sent the game in to overtime, and Frost sealed Nebraska's victory with a rushing touchdown. He led the Nebraska team that beatPeyton Manning 'sTennessee Volunteers in the 1998 Orange Bowl.Scott holds the school record with 155 attempted passes with no
interceptions .Coaching
After playing 6 seasons in the NFL, in 2006 Scott accepted an offer by his alma mater's rival, Kansas State, to be a graduate assistant coach. In 2007, he joined the
University of Northern Iowa coaching staff as the linebackers coach.References
