St Columba's Gourock

St. Columba's High School is a co-educational six year Roman Catholic, comprehensive high school, located on Bay Hill in Gourock, Scotland. The current enrollment is more than 600 pupils.

The school won the Platinum Award in Enterprise, being the first school in Inverclyde to achieve this. The school also received top marks from the HMI (Her Majesty's Inspectors) visit.

Accommodation

The main teaching block is a three storey building consisting of classrooms for English, Mathematics, Social Subjects (Modern Studies, History, Geography) and Religious education as well as specialised areas on the top floor for Art & Design and Home Economics.

Adjoining the main block are:
* a games hall, gymnasia and a swimming pool, along with a well ppointed youth and community wing
* the Music Department's suite of practice and teaching rooms and the school theatre with a seating capacity of 200

Other wings linked to the classroom block house:
* a two storey science block (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
* a single storey technical and technology block
* dining/assembly areas, toilets and pupil social areas
* the three storey block which contains specialist ICT Faculty rooms, the school library, the Support for Learning (also known as the Inclusion Zone) base and the school Oratory with seating for 200
* a single storey administration block with the school office, reception area and offices for senior staff

On the school campus are two all weather pitches for football, hockey, rugby and athletics.
