"Not to be confused with Vivid Entertainment, an adult media company."

Vivid-Hosting (privately held) is a communications and information services company and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The company operates one of the larger gaming and hosting services on the west coast of the United States of America. Vivid-Hosting currently has presence in three datacenters scattered across Southern California.

History

Vivid-Hosting was founded in 2005, a subsidiary of Vivid-Media Incorporated; the company was created to handle the Media assets not related to design and production. On August 23, 2005, the company changed its name to Vivid-Hosting. Three months later, Vivid-Hosting became an independent company.

Network

Vivid-Hosting operates one of the largest metropolitan networks of any Internet gaming service provider. Interconnections between major ISPs are done via one or more fast ethernet links or 10 Gb/s Ethernet links. Its network is currently peered directly, or indirectly, with all ISPs in Southern California.

Vivid-Hosting's primary focus is selling service to organizations with small bandwidth requirements, such as web hosting companies, gamers, VOIP providers, and to other, smaller ISPs and businesses. Vivid-Hosting also provides specialized services for businesses, such as VPN, wireless and voice services.

Vivid-Hosting is one of the largest providers of game servers to the gaming community in California and is the primary provider of Internet connectivity for many webhosting companies.

Based on the amount of Internet traffic on Vivid-Hosting's IP bandwidth links, Vivid-Hosting is among the largest game server providers on the Pacific coast.
