"Jackpot" is the sixth episode from the of the popular American forensic crime drama "", which is set in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Plot Summary

When Dr. Robbins receives a severed head found by a dog, Grissom goes to Jackpot, Nevada in search of the rest of the body. When he arrives he soon finds out that he cannot expect much help from the locals. Even the sheriff seems to be hiding something. Meanwhile Catherine gets an unexpected gift from her father, in the form of $250,000, which she flatly refuses. The body that was missing the head was found on a foothill, and the his car in an old barn owned by the gas station owner. Grissom stays in Jackpot to solve the case, but his field kit gets stolen when he leaves his car to go and find the barn. The sheriff's brother was having a love affair with the man who was found decapitated. The sheriff's nephew saw his father and his college roomate together, and killed his roomate, drugging him and burying him with his head visible. He slashed the victim's cheek to attract wolves, which lead to his head being knawed off by a dog.
